Welcome to The Panjab Library Archive ("we," "us," "the site," thepunjablib.in). By accessing or using this site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About This Site

The Panjab Library Archive is a digital library offering free access to Punjabi literary works, author biographies, and related blog content. The site is supported through advertising, optional affiliate purchase links, and reader donations.

2. Use of Content

• Books and materials made available for download are provided for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise stated.
• We make reasonable efforts to only host works that are in the public domain, used with permission, or otherwise legally shareable. If you believe any content infringes your copyright, see Section 6 (Copyright & Takedown Policy) below.
• Blog posts, site design, the logo, and original written content (author bios, descriptions) on this site are owned by The Panjab Library Archive or its contributors and may not be reproduced elsewhere without permission, except for brief quotation with attribution.

3. User Conduct

When using this site, you agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content in a way that degrades site performance or circumvents intended access controls
• Redistribute downloaded content for commercial purposes without authorization
• Submit false, misleading, or infringing content via the Contribute or Contact forms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, including the admin panel
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose

4. Accounts (if applicable)

If user accounts are offered, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

• Some book pages include optional "Buy" links to third-party retailers. These are affiliate links — if you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These links are clearly marked and only appear where we've chosen to add them.
• This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. We do not control the specific content of ads shown and are not responsible for the products, services, or claims of third-party advertisers.

6. Copyright & Takedown Policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.

If you are a copyright holder (or an authorized representative) and believe content on this site infringes your rights, please send a takedown request to support@thepanjab.in including:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
2. The specific URL(s) or location of the material on our site

5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Upon receiving a valid request, we will investigate promptly and remove or disable access to the material if warranted. We may also, at our discretion, temporarily remove content pending review even before a formal request is completed, if infringement appears likely.

7. Donations

Donations made through this site support hosting, content acquisition, and ongoing development. Donations are processed by our third-party payment provider and are, unless otherwise stated at the time of donation, non-refundable. We do not store your payment card or bank details.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

This site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that content will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, or that all catalog information (publication years, biographical details, etc.) is fully accurate — we make reasonable efforts toward accuracy but cannot guarantee it for historical/literary records.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Panjab Library Archive and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to reliance on catalog information or issues with third-party links, advertisers, or payment processors.

This site contains links to third-party websites (retailers, payment processors, resources). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those external sites.
